Stress!

Hey, you! :)

I'm sure you've been stressed one time or another, especially if you have exams coming up or you work. I'm a person which becomes easily stressed with just about anything. The difference is the way we handle it. Some people can easily handle the situation, while others cannot. Unfortunately, i am one of those people. Here are some situations which you might be able to relate to..

Firstly, we all know that stress causes us to eat twice as much as we usually would, and then that leads to weight gain. We also feel way more lazier so we won't feel like working out either! Due to this, we will then feel depressed because we feel 'fat'. I'm already very conscious about how i look and worry about how i'm going to be judged, so this makes the problem even worse for me!

Mood swings! For us girls, we already suffer through this every month, let alone when we're stressed! This usually tends to affect the things i wish to achieve in life, my goals and what i wish to do, stuff i wish to start. I start feeling bad about myself and say i'm not good enough and i will never make it there. I put myself down and stay home all day, watching videos of people smiling and enjoying themselves and just wishing i was them.

When it comes to school, i always get stressed because i feel like i'm going to fail my exams and waste a school year. I had already quit school twice and starting school again is always one of my biggest fears as i begin to think that i'm going to do it all over again, and if i do go on with the school year, i worry about all the assignments that have to be done and just give up.

During the summer months, I was working in a Hotel and as you may know, many tourists come to visit Malta within that time of year. I was working as a part-timer, my shifts weren't super long, but there was a LOT of work to do! It was exhausting and it drove me nuts! Not only, but I used to go to work and back home by walk, it used to take me 30 minutes. By the time i arrive, i'd be soaking wet and it was horrible. It isn't nice at all to work around people and be all sweaty, even for your own sake, it's a very uncomfortable feeling!

I don't know about you, but besides school and work, when you're actually out of the house, i spend a lot of time at home rather than outside. Don't take me wrong, i love going out and spending time with family and friends, but i'm more of an indoor person who loves to be all cosy inside (in winter that is, and in summer out of the heat!). Although sometimes i may exaggerate and spend a looooong time inside and it eventually brings me down. I plan on changing that but it may take some time.

So i felt like i should share this with you as I pass through this quite often and wanted to talk about it. I'm sure a lot of you can relate and hopefully you'll realise you're not alone!
